Metal flashing that matches the roof

Our perimeter work covers counter flashing, coping, drip edge, gravel stop, ridge capping, fascia covers, and custom flashing in the same substrate and 70% PVDF finish as the panels, so the whole envelope reads as one system. Where the spec or the code official calls for a specific perimeter edge detail, we form the coping and fascia to the profile and anchorage your engineer specifies.
The perimeter is the part of the roof that the wind hits first and the part a passerby at street level actually sees. When the coping and counter flashing come from a different shop than the panels, the color is close but never exact, and the edge dates the whole job.

WHAT WE FABRICATE
Counter flashing, coping, drip edge, gravel stop
Every metal roof needs perimeter trim that matches it. We fabricate the full edge metal line in the same substrates and finishes as the panels, so the counter flashing, coping, fascia covers, and roof read as one continuous system instead of three slightly different whites from three suppliers.
Where a project's spec or code official calls for a specific perimeter edge detail, we form the coping and fascia to the profile and anchorage the drawings specify. Order the edge package with the panels and it arrives color-matched, cut to your dimensions, and ready to set.
The line below covers the parapet cap down to the drip edge and the gravel stop, plus the water-management pieces and the roof-plane transitions. Each item is brake-formed in the same painted Galvalume steel, aluminum, copper, zinc, stainless, or galvanized stock you spec for the field of the roof. On long parapet and fascia runs, on-site forming is available so the metal is rolled to length at the building instead of shipped in short sticks with a joint every ten feet.

WIND UPLIFT AND THE CODE
Perimeter edge metal and wind uplift, explained
Wind uplift at the roof perimeter is what drives how coping and fascia get detailed on low-slope roofs. On a flat or low-slope building, the membrane or panel field is fastened down across the deck, but the coping and fascia at the parapet and the eave are the pieces the wind tries to peel first.
If that edge lifts, it can take the rest of the roof with it. That is why an engineer details the coping or fascia profile, its cleat, and its anchorage to hold the design pressure for the building.
A code official or an architect's spec will often require a specific perimeter edge detail on a low-slope roof. When that requirement is on the drawings, the submittal has to show the profile and anchorage that meet it, not just a piece of bent metal that looks the part. We fabricate the coping and fascia to that detail, matched to the same finish as the panels, so the perimeter satisfies the spec and still looks like part of the roof.
Not every job calls for it. A small canopy or a steep architectural roof may never trigger the requirement, and a residential addition usually does not. When the spec or the code official does call for a specific perimeter edge detail, that detail belongs on the drawings, and we work from what your engineer or the official requires rather than guessing at it. PARAPET CAPS
Coping profiles in our metal flashing line
Coping is the cap that covers the top of a parapet wall and sheds water to one side or both. The right profile depends on the wall width, the look the architect wants, and whether the job needs a specified perimeter detail or a fast snap-on cap. We fabricate four coping families so the cap fits the wall instead of forcing the wall to fit a stock cap.
Econo is the straightforward face-fastened cap for budget-driven work where a specified perimeter detail is not required. LT is a heavier profile for wider parapets and more exposed walls. Snap Coping Max is a snap-on system that hides the fasteners under the cap and clips down over a continuous cleat, so there are no exposed screws on the face.
Spring-Tite is a spring-clip snap-on coping that grips the cleat under tension for a tight line on long runs. Each one is formed in the substrate and 70% PVDF finish you spec for the panels.
Splice plates join the lengths at each joint so the run stays watertight and aligned, and outside and inside corners and end caps are fabricated as miters to keep the line clean where the wall turns. We form the continuous cleat the cap anchors to, and on long parapet runs the coping can be rolled on-site so the cap arrives in fewer, longer pieces.

DRIP EDGE AND GRAVEL STOP
Fascia covers, drip edge, and gravel stop
A fascia cover is the metal flashing that wraps the edge of the roof at the eave or along an exposed beam, and it carries the finished line a person sees from the ground. We fabricate six fascia-cover profiles so the face depth and the return match the building. These are the perimeter edge covers, not the soffit panels that close the underside of an overhang.
Standard is the base profile for a clean eave. EC is the snap-on cover that hides its fasteners. Extender and Extender with Offset give a taller face for deeper edges and a stepped reveal where the detail calls for it. LT is the heavier-duty profile, and Secure Lok is the locking cover that clips down over a continuous cleat for a tight, fastener-free face on exposed runs.
A gravel stop is the drip edge piece that holds the roofing material back from the perimeter and forms the drip line on a built-up or membrane roof. We form it in Standard and Econo, with Standard giving a taller, stiffer face and Econo covering lighter, budget-driven work. Both run in the same coil as the rest of the perimeter trim so the drip edge matches the fascia cover above it.
Like the coping, the fascia cover and gravel stop are joined with splice plates and turned at the corners with formed miters, anchored to a continuous cleat, and formed to the perimeter detail the project specifies. On long eave runs the fascia cover can be formed on-site so the face arrives in long, clean lengths.

Gutters, roof transitions, and the metal behind the edge
Gutters and downspouts
We fabricate LT and HD gutters formed to the run, with HD giving a heavier profile for larger roof areas and longer spans. Downspouts and conductor heads are formed and color-matched to carry the water from the gutter to grade. Ordered with the coping and fascia covers, the water-management metal matches the rest of the perimeter instead of standing out as a different white.
Ridge capping, hip, and valley
Ridge capping and hip caps close the high transitions of a metal roof, valleys carry water where two slopes meet, and eave trim and rake trim finish the bottom and gable edges. Each piece is fabricated in the same substrate and finish as the panels, so every transition on the roof matches the field instead of breaking the line.
Substrates and gauges
Edge metal and flashing are formed in 22, 24, and 26 gauge painted Galvalume steel and in .032 and .040 aluminum, and we also form copper, zinc, stainless, and galvanized stock. The finish is 70% PVDF, Kynar 500 or Hylar 5000, in over 50 Sheffield colors or a custom match, so the perimeter is built from the same metal as the roof it edges.
ONE SYSTEM, ONE COLOR
Why the edge package matters
The reason to order the edge metal with the roof comes down to the coil. When the coping, fascia, gutters, and panels are all cut from the same 70% PVDF coil in the same run, the color is an exact match because it is literally the same paint batch.
When the trim comes from a separate shop, even the same named color drifts: a different coil, a different batch, a slightly different sheen, and the edge reads as a near-miss against the field. From the ground that near-miss is the first thing the eye catches.
Matching color also depends on matching substrate. A panel in 24 gauge Galvalume and a fascia in a different metal will weather differently over time even if they start out close, so we form the perimeter trim in the same substrate family as the roof wherever the detail allows.
The result is a roof where the parapet cap, the eave, the gutter, and the field all hold the same line and the same color through the life of the finish, and the perimeter carries the same manufacturer finish warranty as the panels because it is cut from the same coil.
There is a practical side too. One order, one set of dimensions, one delivery, and the crew is not chasing a separate trim supplier or waiting on a back-ordered cap while the roof sits open.
